Wandering towards a cure

because mental illness sometimes feels like waiting for a cure without a destination in sight, and that’s okay….we’re in this, together.

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read this introduction. My name is Bri W. and I reside in Southern California. I have ambitions to be of service to the planet in whatever way God calls me to do. Right now, I believe it’s to share my story. I hope we can facilitate healing conversation around mental illness, the stigma that comes along with it, and the healing measures following the diagnosis. I have been working on my mental health since 2015 and had a diagnosis of bipolar type I in 2019.

It’s safe to say that I’ve been to metaphorical and symbolic hell – and back (I’ve since returned safely). In fact, I’d imagine for anyone living with bipolar I (or type II, or any other mental illness) it probably feels the same way. It rips at your soul and devours your heart; it eats through friendships, leaving them desolate and dried on the pavement. My journey into bipolar disorder began in 2016, after ingesting magic mushrooms in Amsterdam.

Self-imposed fears

I believe there are no limits on the amount of fears your psyche can produce. Absolutely none. I have found that I can be perfectly safe, in a perfectly happy family, with no foreseeable fears in future, and yet, I still carry a laundry list of fears. Fear has been a running theme for meContinue reading “Self-imposed fears”

“In this very room…

…there’s quite enough love, for one like me. And in this very room, there’s quite enough joy, for one like me.” It’s Sunday. It’s a day for me, that is filled with Spirit, God, and a touch of self-loathing. Because it is on these holy days that I feel unworthy of the Love that surroundsContinue reading ““In this very room…”

Sacred dimensions

I learned about a book, or channeling, where the speaker goes into speaking about the vibratory state of the universe. In essence, he states that we are all One on a molecular level. His most challenged verse in the channeling (in my opinion) is this: “I am Ra. The Law of One, though beyond theContinue reading “Sacred dimensions”
